For authors
Send us your book.
Get a real reply.
Before you send us anything, here is what we publish, what you keep, how you are paid, what we do for your book, and exactly how long each stage takes. You should be able to decide whether we are right for your work without having to ask us first.
Submissions are openWe read every submission and respond within 6–8 weeks.
01
You send
Your synopsis, sample pages and publishing history. No submission fee, no reading fee, and no agent required.
02
We read
Every submission is read by a person, and every author gets an answer either way.
03
We build it
Editorial development, design and production. We use AI in our editing pipeline, and every decision is made by a human editor — with you, not sent to you.
04
We stay
Reporting on how your book is doing, and support after release. A book's life does not end on publication day.
What we publish
If your book sits outside these but you believe it belongs with us, say so in your notes — we would rather read it than have you rule yourself out.
- Children's books
- Young adult fiction
- Literary and genre fiction
- Practical nonfiction
Questions
How long does a review take?
We aim to respond to every submission within 6–8 weeks. If you have not heard from us after ten weeks, please follow up and quote the reference from your confirmation email.
Do you charge a reading fee?
No. We charge authors nothing. If we offer to publish your book, the full terms come with the offer, in writing, before you sign anything.
What file formats do you accept?
PDF or Word (.doc or .docx), up to 25 MB, uploaded on the form above. Send your first three chapters or fifty pages, whichever is shorter.
Do I have to attach sample pages?
No. A synopsis alone is a valid submission. Submissions that include sample pages are read sooner, simply because we can assess them in one pass.
Do you accept previously self-published work?
Yes. We evaluate each manuscript on its merits. Please tick the box on the form so we know its history.
Can I submit more than one manuscript?
Please submit one at a time, and send your strongest work first. If we take it on we will happily talk about what else you are working on.
What happens to my manuscript if you say no?
Nothing. We keep your submission on file, it stays confidential, and we do not pass it to anyone. You are free to send it elsewhere the moment you hear from us — a no from us is not a hold on your book.
